Choosing a paint color or color(s) is one of the most difficult and asked about questions in Interior Design. You are not alone!
First, remember the function of your bathroom. You want your color to be comfortably restful to the eye (medium tones are great for this look) and you want to flatter whomever is looking in that mirror!
Second, start with some paint swatches in a neutral zone, and see which undertones you are most attracted to. Then narrow down your color selection by eliminating all of the green toned colors. Green is unflattering to the complexion, and should be used in another application in the home.
Third, walk your remaining paint swatches around your home and see which one falls most into place to your own observation. This can be accomplished by laying the swatches down on an area rug, for example, and then taking out the shades that are unpleasing to you.
You should be narrowed down to at least four or five swatches now, and then the fun begins! Buy small paint samples, available at places such as Benjamin Moore, http://www.benjaminmoore.com. Apply the samples to all parts of the different walls, (light affects paint colors differently) and see which one you like the most. If you have an existing paint color in your room, paint over a large section with white primer so you will get a true reading of your sampler. Get everyone's opinion, but remember as the homeowner yours is the most important.
